Lesson description

Read all 31 verses with vowel points. First follow repeated clauses and the sequence of days; then focus on selected words and grammar. This is a suggested lesson, not an assessment of your Hebrew.

  1. Read Genesis 1 completely

Keep vowel points visible. Hide English for the first pass where possible; use it when a clause blocks your understanding. Read all 31 verses, including the sixth day's conclusion.

    Read text
  2. Recognize creation vocabulary

Read pointed Hebrew → meaning. Rate this skill independently of your ability to pronounce unpointed text. Remove familiar items from later focused practice when your AI reviews the results.

    Practice flashcards
  3. Compare a directive with an event

Begin with narrative wayyiqtol, jussive and agreement. Find יְהִי/וַיְהִי in 1:3, then follow וַיֹּאמֶר, וַיַּרְא and וַיִּקְרָא across the chapter.

    Open list
  4. Check contextual interpretation

Answer six questions before rereading the explanations. Incorrect examples are useful next-lesson clues; one correct answer does not establish broad mastery.

    Take quiz
  5. Explain two verses to your AI

Choose 1:3 and one later verse. Identify the actor, action and object, then explain the contrast in English or Hebrew. Ask your AI for concrete parsing feedback; checking this step is not a grade.
